Stage 16 of the long-distance hiking trail "Wasserläufer-Route", Baden-Württemberg/Bavaria.
This is the sixteenth stage of the Water Strider Route, which forms the "Allgäu Hiking Trilogy" together with the Himmelsstürmer Route and the Wiesengänger Route.
The starting point of this rather leisurely hike is in Oberreute, from where it leads through romantic forests, a high moor and past several scenic rest areas to Weiler-Simmerberg. The absolute highlight of the route is the picturesque Hausbachklamm gorge, which you hike through on the last few kilometres to the stage finish.
There are overnight and refreshment stops along the way.
