Big Nagelfluh Circular with the Mountain Bike

Starting point: quiet car park directly on the Weißbach. Right at the start, the trail climbs 200 metres in the direction of Steibis. After a few hairpin bends and the saddle at 1040 metres, there is a wonderful view of the Voralberg hills. Below the saddle, you pass the chapel and cross the green border into Austria. After the Hochschlitten ski lift, the route descends steeply to Riefensberg. The centrepiece of the tour begins at the Bolgenach bridge. The scenically beautiful shortcut leads over the Scheidwan Alp back to the Allgäu. The small toll road leads past the Lecknerachsee lake to the Alpengasthaus Höfle. This is followed by a few kilometres of gravel road past the secluded Helmigen Alp. This is almost off-road fun. After alternating between a paved road and a gravel track, the last real climb leads to the Scheidwang Alp. This is followed by an 11-kilometre-long valley ride on the toll road down to Gunzesried. The tour ends with a leisurely ride past the Alpsee lake back to Oberstaufen.
