This wonderful loop starts at the castle in Seefeld. You walk southwards through the castle gardens and through the Kiental valley to Andechs Monastery, the oldest place of pilgrimage in Bavaria. It is worth taking a break here and savouring a glass of the famous Andechs beer (refreshment stop). The way back is enchanting with lots of nature; the path runs through partly dense beech forests and often along lively babbling brooks.
Travelling by bus and train is possible (access from Seefeld-Hechendorf S-Bahn station).
