This is the second stage of the varied Siebensterntour, which runs through the Fichtelgebirge Nature Park in a marvellous 155 km circular tour.
The second stage starts in Bischofsgrün and ends in Schwarzenbach a.d.Saale. In addition to towns worth seeing such as Kirchenlamitz, this section of the route is also characterised by many idyllic bodies of water, including the Eger spring and the popular Weißenstädter See lake.
The starting and finishing points can be reached by bus and train and there are places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments.
