Schinder

From the PP Schagalm (920m) at the toll road on the forest path towards "Schinder". Pass the Blauwandhütte (940m) heading SW to the Schagalm (970m). Soon after this, turn left onto the main path and continue along the now narrower path, always following the white and red markings. The gradient soon increases and will remain so through the gravelly cirque to the Schindertor (1670m), becoming even steeper at the top. The short ascent itself through the Fensterl is technically harmless thanks to the pins and steel cable (extended downwards with a chain). You can continue to the Schindertor gate without any problems thanks to two further rope safety devices (even if the centre anchors are broken). At the gate, continue left on the hiking trail to an easy rock gully, also secured by ropes, which leads to the W ridge of the Trausnitzberg (Austrian Schinder). Follow the mountain pine-covered ridge in a gentle up and down to the summit cross (1808m). The ridge marks the border, Bavaria on the left, Tyrol on the right. From the summit, continue eastwards on a path, soon descending steeply in places towards the SE and in a wide left turn down to the Trausnitzalm (1440m), which is open in summer. Today it remains on the right and continues down towards the ONE. After a while, cross a forest road that would lead to the right to the Reichenböden. After 50m on the next forest road 10m to the right and at the signpost "Valepp 1,5h" (1160m, it only takes 45min...) turn left onto the path and on this first towards N, after a stream crossing towards E and finally again towards N flat to the forest road, which leads to the left into the Schinderkar. Now descend steeply to the toll road, then turn left and return to the starting point in just under 10 minutes.
