The Buntspecht circular trail is a certified quality hiking trail in the Bavarian Forest National Park. The trail starts at the Diensthütte car park or the Racheldiensthütte bus stop (accessible by bus and train, line 601). You hike from the Racheldiensthütte car park to the Rachelsee lake, the only natural lake in the Bavarian Forest National Park, on mostly natural paths.
