The plague chapel in the forest at a crossroads between Obing and Pittenhart was built around 1860 in memory of those who died of the plague during the Thirty Years' War, when the Spanish brought the plague to this area and killed a large proportion of the population from the area around Obing, Pittenhart and Albertaich. This plague cemetery is located a good 100 metres east of the plague chapel.
