Nuremberg-Erlenstegen – Fischbach near Nuremberg

This extensive and relaxed point-to-point hike leads through the Lorenzer Reichswald, one of the most important recreation areas in the east of the city of Nuremberg. The path connects the district of Erlenstegen with the rural village of Fischbach, running almost exclusively on level, well-maintained forestry tracks and shaded forest paths. A central highlight is the passage through the characteristic pine forests and the crossing of small streams like the Gründlach tributaries, which give the sandy terrain a unique structure. The route is completely flat and ideal for an extensive walk, an athletic run, or a relaxed bike ride through the "green lung" of the metropolitan region.
