On lonely forest paths in the Hahnenkamm. The tour leads over the castle stables of the Randenburg, which was razed to the ground in the Middle Ages, up to the ring wall on the Schanzenkopf, over the Elbernhöhe down to the Hemsbacher Kreuz, on the Eichhörnchenweg, later the Pilzweg to Buchwald, on the Kammlinie back to the Hahnenkammhaus, and back down to the starting point - the Oberwald hiking car park. Although this is not a cross-country tour, it is still recommended that you wear hiking boots as the tour includes a few steeper sections.
