This wonderful circular route starts at the parking lot of the Franciscan monastery in Reutberg, which was founded in 1618. From here it goes through the picturesque nature reserve Ellbach and Kirchseemoor, past the Kirchsee and through the southern foothills of the Zeller Forest. In summer, it's worth packing swimming gear and taking a break at one of the two designated bathing spots on the north and south shores of the Kirchsee (note: for reasons of nature conservation, the shore may only be entered at these designated spots!). After the hike, the day can end with a hearty meal and home-brewed beer in the monastery brewery.
