Kempten Wandertour: Entlang der Iller

This varied and historic circular walk takes you through the heart of Kempten, one of Germany's oldest towns, and along the sparkling Iller river. The route combines urban flair with the tranquillity of the Allgäu river landscape and runs along an atmospheric mix of paved riverside promenades, historic old town alleys and shady park paths. A central highlight is the view of the magnificent St. Lorenz Basilica and the Residenz, as well as the passage along the Iller bridges, which offer a sweeping view of the Alpine foothills.
