Scenic circular route in the Ammergau Alps Nature Park near Bad Kohlgrub.
The hiking route starts at the Tannenbankerl-Lift car park at the Hörnlebahn valley station. Via the Elmauberg and the summit of the Vorderer Hörnle you go to the Hörnlehütte. Here you can stay overnight and take a break in front of a magnificent Alpine panorama. Especially when the weather is good, things can get a little busier here, as the hut is located directly at the Hörnlebahn mountain station. From here we take the summer path back to the valley. You can also take the suspension railway for a shortcut.
If you arrive by public transport, it is also possible to start from Bad Kohlgrub train station.
