The hiking trail leads from the "Gießenbachklamm Wasserrad" car park into the wild and romantic Gießenbachklamm gorge with Bavaria's largest water wheel, which still produces electricity. The trail then leads to the rustic Schopper-Alm, which is open from April to the end of October (closed on Mondays). The best thing to do before setting off is to obtain up-to-date information about opening times. The hike then leads around the Nußlberg through beautiful Alpine foothills back to the starting point.
