This forest hike starts at the car park at Lixenried cemetery. The Burgstallweg (Fu21) initially follows the "Forstweg" road to the edge of the forest and the sandy plain. Continue along the very natural ridge path to Burgstall, from whose summit cross there are great views over the Upper Bavarian Forest. If you wish, you can enjoy a small picnic here before hiking back down into the valley.
