This hike starts at the Birkenstein car park and leads uphill to the signpost, where you turn left. The Bucheralm is no longer managed, but the Hubertushütte is open between May and November, Mondays and Tuesdays are days off. Before setting out on the hike, however, you should definitely obtain information about the current opening times. The same applies to the rustic Kesselalm on the Breitenstein.
