Scenic mountain hike in the Chiemgau Alps from Ruhpolding.
The hiking route leads from the banks of the Weiße Traun via the "Wittelsbacher Höhe" and "Steinling" viewpoints, initially to the main summit of the Zellerberg. It then continues to the slightly lower north summit. The tour is characterised by magnificent views of the Chiemgau region and Ruhpolding.
The route is accessible by bus and train and is also suitable for older children.
Parts of this trail are quite steep, going uphill and downhill. Once at the top, the route follows a fairly steep ridge with a narrow path. The paths are often rooty and stony.
