Wasseralfingen- Unterkochen

Start at the railway station in Wasseralfingen. via Erzgrube to the Naturfreundehaus on Braunenberg. In a wide arc around Röthardt and up over forest paths and trails to Baierstein. Here you have a wonderful view over Aalen and the Albtrauf. At Baierstein, follow the zig-zag trail down to the forest path and then turn left to Waldhäuser Steige. Cross this and then along the edge of the forest to the Naturfreundehaus above Unterkochen, where you can take a good rest. Then follow the Böllerweg and the old Schättreweg to almost the end before the old tunnel. Take the narrow path down to the source of the Kocher and follow the water to the railway station in Unterkochen. You can take the train back. It leaves 20 minutes after every full hour in the direction of Ellwangen. You will then be back in Wasseralfingen in 10 minutes.
