RSV Haltingen RTF - Cycling Marathon

Official route of the cycle marathon through the southern Black Forest. This colossal loop follows the well-known RTF cycle marathon course organised by RSV Haltingen and represents a monumental test of endurance through the picturesque border triangle of Baden-Württemberg. The route covers extreme distances and thousands of metres of elevation gain on asphalt mountain roads and wide valley sections near the historic town of Weil am Rhein. Although technically straightforward, the extreme length and relentless elevation profile requires meticulous preparation, excellent fitness and planning that takes into account a multi-day effort. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Alps as it winds its way between the Black Forest, the Swiss Jura and the French Vosges mountains, making for an unforgettable, lengthy crossing of the central European low mountain ranges.
