Demanding long-distance hike starting in the southern Black Forest
This long-distance hiking trail leads from Baden-Württemberg to Switzerland and has been a certified premium hiking trail since 2019. The route runs along the mountain ranges between the Rhine and Danube in the Southern Black Forest Nature Park.
As the name suggests, this tour is all about water: hikers pass babbling brooks, clear springs, tranquil ponds, reservoirs and thundering waterfalls. Particularly spectacular are the Triberg waterfalls in Triberg in the Black Forest, which are among Germany's highest waterfalls thanks to several steps and a height of more than 160 metres.
