The route leads from the railway station in Tirberg along the Gutachtalweg (also known as the Franz-Göttler-Weg) to Hausach. Through mostly open landscapes and partly through the forest, the trail descends through Steinbis, Niederwasser to Homberg. There are refreshment stops in the villages. From there, the route crosses the villages of Mausloch, Gutach and Mattenhof before reaching Hausach. The route follows the course of the Gutach the entire time.
