Pfäffingen - Märchensee - Wurmlinger Kapelle - Tübingen

The start is at Pfäffingen railway station. From there, the trail first leads through orchards and forest to the disused Wendelsheim quarry. Now a section of the Wendelsheim nature trail leads through the remains of the exposed sandstone until you reach the fairytale lake covered in duckweed after a short while. The trail continues through forest and orchards to Wurmlingen. From there, you climb up to the Wurmlingen chapel, from where you have a beautiful view of the Neckar and Ammer valleys. In summer, the chapel can also be visited on Sundays. Continue along the Hirschauer Spitzbergwegle premium trail for a while. It leads past dry stone walls and rough grassland with beautiful views of the Neckar valley on the edge of the Hirschauer Berg nature reserve. You then follow the forest paths to Tübingen. The trail leads through the Tübingen castle courtyard into the city centre and to the train station, where you can take the Ammertalbahn back to the starting point.
