The climb to Königstuhl begins behind the cemetery (bus arrival possible and parking available). In Königsstuhl, the climb is of course rewarded with magnificent views. Then begins the steep descent to Heidelberg - via the Valerieweg trail all the way down to the Neckar. On the opposite side of the Neckar, the route leads as a small loop over a beautiful serpentine trail until it finally heads towards the starting point.
Attention! Some parts of the route run over mountain bike trails. Also, sturdy shoes are an advantage!!! The trail itself is a combination of several different trails, so the entire route is not marked and the use of an offline map is very practical.
