Castle-rich hike through the northern Black Forest, Baden-Württemberg.
Parking is available at the starting point for those arriving by car. The route is, therefore, an excellent day trip for hikers from Baden-Baden and the surrounding area.
The route starts at the hiking car park at Eberbach. It then leads up to Ebersteinburg and Alt-Eberstein Castle via atmospheric forest paths in an easterly direction. From there, it goes past Hohenbaden Castle over the Battert and back to the hiking car park. The numerous high-altitude sights enable an excellent panorama over the landscape of the northern Black Forest.
