Exciting circular route in the Black Forest around the Batterfelsen near Baden-Baden.
This circular route leads through the Battert nature reserve, an extraordinary rock face in the Black Forest. The starting point is at the Battert parking lot. Right at the beginning, the path leads past the Kapffelsen to the Engelskanzel. Then it goes on partly narrow forest paths to the idyllic forest tavern. From here, the ascent to the Bernhardus chapel begins.
From here, a path leads directly to Hohenbaden Castle, or there is the option of taking a detour via the lower rock path. The Hohenbaden ruins are freely accessible, and there are magnificent views of the surrounding area from the platforms.
Now the path begins in the mystical forest with gnarled trees to the rock faces of the Battert. Lovely rock paths lead through the rocky landscape, and various viewing platforms of the Battert offer beautiful views. However, sure-footedness and sturdy shoes are an advantage.
