The high-level trail leads via the New Castle and the castle towards Meersburg. A few steep steps going down to the lower town of Meersburg with its winding alleyways and cosy places to stop for refreshments. The path leads back to Hagnau along the lakeside promenade parallel to the lakeshore. There are car parks at the starting and finishing points and there is also a bus stop.
