Aufhausen- Bopfingen

From the car park in Aufhausen diagonally up onto the heath. Follow this uphill with views of the Ipf and the surrounding heath with some rocky outcrops. The tour goes along or over most of these hills and rocky outcrops in the direction of the Ipf, which is why you gain quite a few metres in altitude. In return, the tour offers marvellous views from above and below. There is an old synagogue in front of the Ipf in Oberdorf. This can be visited from April to September from 14:00 to 16:00. On the back of the Ipf (east) there is a somewhat flatter descent that leads in a curve back to Bopfingen. Through the town centre, past the railway station, the route follows the main Albtrauf hiking trail up the Härtsfeldtrauf and along the slope above the railway line back to Aufhausen. Along the way, you will always have a beautiful view of the route you have already covered. If you still haven't climbed enough metres, you can go up to the Schenkenstein ruins. The best way to climb it is from behind by taking the road to the cemetery and then turning left at a large tree opposite the Jewish cemetery up a path to the ruins. It is even better if you don't take the earth path down to the railway station just before the Aufhausen railway station, but stay on the gravel path on the left and walk diagonally up to the ruins. From the ruins back in Aufhausen, you pass a beautifully built Lurdes grotto. After crossing the main road, you reach the car park again. Not exactly a walk, but a nice and varied one.
