Panoramic loop trail on Ruegen, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This loop trail in northern Ruegen is a forest hike with maritime flair. From Glowe you hike through the forest, often right along the Grosser Jasmunder Bodden, to the Forsthaus Gelm. Here you turn to the east (caution when crossing the country road). The route starts at the car park between Glowe and Juliusruh. It heads south and then turns onto a path that lies directly on the large Jasmund Bodden. It finally reaches Glowe and leads to the beach (Baltic Sea). The remaining ~4km are on sand. This wide isthmus separates the northern part of Rügen from the eastern part. It is heavily wooded and has beaches on both sides.

The starting point of this track is the railway station in Sagard. After a few cobbled streets, you now have to cycle on the main road for a while. After a while, a cycle path starts on the right at Bobbin. Follow this to Glowe. Here a detour to the pier is a must, after all you want to get a whiff of the Baltic Sea air.
