Panoramic circular hike in the Bavarian Pre-Alps, Bavaria. This is a beautiful, albeit quite strenuous circular hike starting in Oberaudorf. The route can be shortened by taking the Hocheck cable car up to the Hocheck summit - or back down into the valley - or by skipping the detour to the Schwarzenberg. Another leisurely stage, especially if you take the chairlift from Oberaudorf to Hocheck. Most of the time you walk leisurely through shady forest. Only the last 500 meters in altitude are tough. Here the path becomes steep and partly rocky until you reach the Brünnsteinhaus. A challenging tour, but one that rewards you with magnificent views. The hiking signs are white signs with a red 7. From the Brünnsteinhaus, there is a via ferrata to the summit, the path is secured but very exposed in places.
