This route is stage 6 of the Fränkischer Gebirgsweg, a long-distance trail in Bavaria; this specific segment starts in Schwarzenhammer and ends in Arzberg. The start and end point is the hiking car park "in der Au" in 95173 Schönwald. The route leads along meadow and field paths to Oberweißenbach, from there in the direction of Hammergut and along the River Eger to the Egerstau café. Continue to Hohenberg/Eger Castle and with a short pushing section on the CZ cycle path 2063 (up and down) to Geyermühle. From there via meadow paths and village roads to Lauterbach, Reichenbach and back to the starting point. Don't forget your ID card!
