From Lenggries heading west, the Via Alpina leads back up the Kaiser-Maximilian Weg to the Brauneck. From Brauneck it is a leisurely hike at an altitude of 1,400-1,500m through mountain pines, alpine grass and the rugged terrain along the Benediktenwand.
