A climb from the bustling Marienplatz up into the lush hills of Stuttgart’s southern slope can be enjoyed. The path winds through Wernhaldenpark, a hidden gem where giant Californian redwood trees tower over steep, wooded trails. This area was once home to an old fortification, and small markers along the way hint at the city’s defensive past.
