This is a circular route that starts in Switzerland, but most of it leads through German territory and is ideal for a bike ride. From Stein am Rhein, the route runs along the shores of Lake Gnadensee until you reach Wangen. Then you follow forest paths through the cultivated landscape until you reach the top of the Chroobach at 681 metres. The route then continues through the forest past Hohenklingen Castle and back again.

An excellent route for canoeing on the Rhine, directly along the border between Germany and Switzerland. The route leads from the harbour in Mammern on Lake Gnadensee downstream to the Feuerthal Bridge in Schaffhausen. A fantastic route with marvellous views and, with a bit of luck, you may even spot some wildlife.
