The Aukrug Nature Park covers an area of 380 square kilometres in the centre of Schleswig-Holstein. Away from the tourist centres of the North Sea and Baltic Sea, you can enjoy nature to the full here. Tranquil villages, idyllic forest and meadow landscapes, small streams and cattle pastures, and in particular the man-made hedgerows typical of this region now provide an excellent habitat for a wide variety of creatures.
