The Östliche Chiemgauer Alpen nature reserve is located between Schlechingen and Sachrang in the Chiemgau Alps. The Geigelstein is known as the "flower mountain of the Chiemgau" and has numerous botanical peculiarities at high altitudes. The same applies to some species in the eastern Chiemgau Alps that only occur here in Germany.
