Best beach trails in Landschaftsschutzgebiet Rotwand

The ski touring classic at Spitzingsee: a wonderful ski touring circuit with ever-changing scenery and fantastic views from the Glockner to the Zugspitze. From Spitzingsee you climb up via the Rotwand, take in the Auerspitz and the Hochmiesing and return via the Taubensteinsattel. Requirements: fitness for approx. 1,100 metres of ascent, safe parallel skiing in deep snow. ------------------------------- Accessible by bus and train

The route to the Rotwandhaus is also suitable for families with small children as it is not dangerous. After that, the trail becomes a little more difficult at times. From Miesing there is a marvellous all-round view and, weather permitting, a fabulous mountain panorama. From the Taubenstein mountain station, take the Taubenstein cable car.

Classic and panoramic ski tour in the Bavarian Alpine foothills. From the wintry Spitzingsee, you climb comfortably along the forest road to the Rotwandhaus and from there to the summit of the Rotwand. From the Taubensteinbahn car park, you can park for a fee of €5 (the upper machine also accepts card payments). Then walk approx. 1100m in the direction of Spitzingsee via the road and along the lake to the Wurzhütte. It is also possible to take the small cable car. This stage includes everything that makes a hiker's heart beat faster: from alpine terrain that requires sure-footedness, to the Taubenstein to the lovely Spitzingsee, the wonderful alpine area of the Stümpflingalm and down to Sutten. Scenic hike in Bavaria. Start is at the Zipflwirt. The bus also goes here to the Origintal/Zipflwirt stop. The path follows the idyllic Elendsgraben and then turns to the Ochsenalm. Then it continues along the Rote Valepp to Spitzingsee. There are several restaurants and cafes here and the beautiful lake.
