Panoramic hike in the Südharz Nature Park, Thuringia. The Poppenberg is a 600 metre high mountain in the Harz Mountains. At the summit is the 33 metre high "Poppenbergturm" observation tower, which offers great views over the wooded mountain ranges of the southern Harz. Osterode near Neustadt/Harz, Bornrasen -> Grossmutteracker -> Helmstieg -> Knippelweg, direction Tischen and Hufhaus -> shortly before Tischen turn sharp right towards Neustadt -> Thiergarten -> at the campsite turn right towards Ilfeld -> shortly afterwards turn left towards Osterode -> Bornrasen
