Beautiful tour in Schleswig-Holstein. You can easily travel to this beautiful stretch along the Elbe by train and start the tour at Geesthacht station. The Elbe is one of the last near-natural river landscapes in Central Europe and is home to numerous unique animal and plant species.

This tour combines two cycle paths. North of the Elbe, you cycle along the Elbe cycle path on the old marsh railway embankment. South of the Elbe, you follow the Ilmenau cycle path to Olderhausen. From here you cycle along the B404 back to Geesthacht. From Zollenspieker, you can then take the ferry across the Elbe to Hoopte. It is advisable to enquire about the ferry's journey times in advance.
