Along Linzberg and Goldberg and past the old quarry, the trail heads south past Steinigtwolmsdorf and the German-Czech border. Continue through the forest to Prinz-Friedrich-August-Höhe. Here you can take a well-earned break and stop off at the mountain inn before setting off on the return journey.
