The circular route is the route of the 2019 Naturpark Pfälzer Wald cycle tours (RTF) from Neustadt an der Weinstraße. The 200-metre route combines all 4 Naturpark Pfälzer Wald RTFs from Neustadt an der Weinstraße to Dahn and also adds another circular route to Lembach and Wissembourg in France. This makes the marathon the longest and most strenuous, but also the most varied of all the nature park RTFs.
