Best bird watching trails in Münster

Cycle tour close to nature in the north-east of Münster, North Rhine-Westphalia. The tour starts at Münster (Westphalia) main railway station. The highlight of this tour is the European bird sanctuary Rieselfelder Münster, a large wetland biotope. The route there leads along the Wienburgpark. Cycle tour from MS-Ost on quiet paths along the Werse to the waterworks in the Hohe Ward. Here you can fill up empty water bottles and dry throats with water. Continue via the Freistuhl in the Hohe Ward (see memorial stone in the photo) to the canal. The path can be very sandy in places on this section. Via Schmitz Kühlken in Gremmendorf, away from major roads, back to Münster Ost.
