Best bike touring trails in Dinslaken

This route starts at the Emschermündung farm, where the Rhine and Emscher meet (but the walk can also be started closer to Dinslaken if this is easier). It follows the Emscher for a while, then turns south and meets the Hoag route, which leads close to the Rhine. It then heads north and crosses the northern harbour of Walsum.

The route goes via Voerde and Friedrichsfeld and not along the B8, except for the last stretch past the Lippeschlösschen. Originally it was supposed to be a circular route, but unfortunately the Lippe ferry was not yet operational. Cycle paths and forest tracks are used;
