Short hiking route near Pöppinghausen in North Rhine-Westphalia. This route mainly runs along field and forest paths. From the charming little village of Pöppenhausen, the route runs along the River Emscher through the Brandheide in the north of the municipality. Alternatively, the route can also be started at the Emscherland car park for more parking options. This makes the route slightly longer. From the Bochumer Str. car park and first through Langeloher Wald. Then through the fields towards Erin Park. From the spoil tip in Erin Park you have a beautiful view over Castrop-Rauxel. From the Langeloh car park, head towards Ölbachtal. The route leads through the Ölbachtal valley along muddy paths in the direction of Bövinghausen. Here you briefly pass through a housing estate before reaching the Wagenbruch nature reserve. The route now leads through fields and pastures back to the car park.
