Best dog-friendly trails in Bad Honnef

Start at Bad Honnef railway station. A short circular route over hard-paved forest paths, which can also be done with pushchairs all year round. The route first takes you through Bad Honnef's old town centre, past beautiful old houses, before reaching the Siebengebirge mountains. There are always beautiful views of the Rhine valley between the trees. The return to the town is via Bonndorfer Straße with a view of the picturesque Annatal gorge.

The circular route starts at the youth hostel in Bad Honnef. The destination is the Asberg, an old quarry for basalt rocks. It is now a wild area with several water lagoons, a natural habitat for birds and frogs. On the way, you climb the Himmerick and visit several forest huts, including the Mäcki hut.
