Best historic site trails in Springe

Scenic ridge hike in the Weserbergland, Lower Saxony. This route begins in Springe and leads along the ridge path on the Deister ridge to Bantorf. Wonderful views over the Weserbergland can be enjoyed at the observation towers "Annaturm" and "Nordmannsturm". The path also leads over the summit of the Hohe Warte and over the Teufelsbrücke. The start of the Walterbachtrail near Nienstedt is not so easy to find. When you come out of the forest before the village of Nienstedt, you pass a house on the left after about 150 metres. After the house, it goes downhill a little and there are pastures/meadows to the left and right before it goes uphill again into the village. Practically in the hollow, keep left.
