Best lake trails in Hamelin

Stage 3 of the long-distance cycle route "Weserradweg", Lower Saxony. This is the third stage of the Weser Cycle Path, which is one of the most popular river cycle paths in Germany. It starts in the famous Pied Piper town of Hamelin. It goes through the marvellous Teutoburg Forest, almost always along the looping Weser. Stage 6 of the D-Route 9 (Weser - Romantic Road). The sixth stage of D-Route 9 via Emmerthal, Bodenwerder and Holzminden to Höxter. This section is characterised by historic castles, palaces and churches. You should also not miss the famous Münchhausen Museum of the Baron of Lies in Bodenwerder. This route starts in the town of Hameln at the railway station. It crosses Kaiserstraße and then turns southwards. The path leads to Tündern and then turns round and comes back. The path is very flat and is surrounded by many lakes, with the Weser to the east. On the way back you also pass the Töneböns ponds.
