On the former Rhön railway line between Petersberg-Götzenhof via Hofbieber (Langenbieber) to Hilders, the continuously asphalted cycle path stretches for 27 kilometres as part of the Hessian long-distance cycle path R3. The highlight of this route is the 1,172 metre long "Milseburgtunnel", where the average temperature is 8-10°Celsius. The Hoherodskopf is an adventure mountain with lots to discover. There is a climbing forest, a summer toboggan run and a treetop walk. It is the only treetop walk with suspension bridges in Europe and is suitable for the whole family (including small children). You can walk from treetop to treetop at a height of up to 15 metres and get to know the forest from a completely different perspective.
