Best long trails in Märkische Heide

Popular circular hiking trail in the Spreewald biosphere reserve, Brandenburg. This beautiful circular trail runs around Lake Neuendorf. You pass numerous picturesque bays, peaceful pine forests, the Neuendorfer Seewiesen meadows and several campsites. Fishing is permitted in Lake Neuendorf with the appropriate licence. The hiking tour starts and ends in Alt Schadow, runs along the Spree for a while, circles the Grubensee lake and leads back to Alt Schadow along the side of the Godnasee lake. All paths are available and easy to follow, even if they cannot be found on all maps. The only good place to rest is above the Grubensee at the bathing area. There are a few benches and various bathing facilities along the way.
