Best hard trails in Cottbus

Panoramic hike near Cottbus, Brandenburg. The circular hike can be started at the Sandower Dreieck station in Cottbus. Passing Branitzer Park, the route leads via Haasow and Schlichow along the River Spree back to the starting point. The route goes around Cottbus in the south and is never more than 50 kilometres from the city. And yet it is 250 kilometres long. Through the Spreewald near Burg, through quiet areas and recultivated open-cast mines. Slow sections alternate with fast country roads. Finally, a quick stop in Poland for a very good, cosy and inexpensive meal in a new yet old thatched-roof inn.
