Best forest trails in Wertach

Alpine circular route near Wertach, Bavaria. This is a truly marvellous mountain hike on the Grünten. Two rustic alpine huts invite to stop for refreshments along the way (check opening times). Alternatively, a short break just before the end of the tour at the Herzlessteinbach forest playground and rest area can be taken. Panoramic MTB tour to the Reuterwanne, Bavaria. The start is at the car park at the beginning of the toll road. The route leads uphill on the road past the Alpenhof Reuterwanne and shortly afterwards past the Untere Alpe Reuterwanne up a somewhat steeper incline to the Obere Reuterwanne Alpe. From there, the route climbs up to the Reuterwanne, the bike has to be carried or pushed in places. Enjoy the beautiful views and then it's downhill through forest and meadow back to the starting point.
