The first four and a half kilometres are hiked directly along the river Regen. Half of the route is on gravel paths. This route leads in a large loop up to the Jugenberg summit, reaching just over 600 metres. The starting point is south of Nittenau, which lies on the River Regen. The hike begins in the fields, but quickly makes its way into the forest as it ascends. It offers some beautiful views of the surrounding area, which lies in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park.

Picturesque hike from Fischbach in the Upper Bavarian Forest Nature Park. This secluded hiking route leads through idyllic countryside from the centre of Fischbach to the fish ponds to the north. Here you can relax and read information boards about fish farming. The route then leads via Reuting into the Bavarian Forest to the River Regen, from where you can take the Marienthal ferry to experience the landscape from a different perspective.
